Forgot I had one of these... as I'm sure a lot of you did too.  Happy New Year, a few days late, as well as I hope everybody had a Merry Christmas (also a good bit late), and I hope that everybody is having a very good break.  I'll try to get around to this more often (if I remember, that is), but right now I'm doing alright.  Things aren't too shabby in my life right now, which is quite pleasing, but I know that I should be closer with God than I am right now.  I also know that I could read my Bible more, which is one of my "New Years Resolutions" type things for me to do.  Although it's more like a "rest of your life resolution" for me, and it should be for you too.  I'd like to ask for everybody to pray for all the people who aren't where they want or need to be with God, and to pray that they can get closer to God in every way of their lives.  Thanks all, and I hope your break continues on in an incredibly positive manner!

Holy cow, All-State Jazz recordings take freaking forever.  I was at DMS for 7 1/2 hours today.  I got home 20 minutes ago, after arriving there at 4 and making a short pizza run promptly at 8:22.  Other than that, jazz jazz jazz, no sleep (Times 3-too lazy to write).  Boy, am I tired, but it was totally worth it.  If you ever thought you couldn't have a good time with a bunch of horrendously tired people trying to sound good at playing stuff they've never played before and/or don't know how to play along with, then you're totally wrong.  It was like a party, except we recorded stuff as well.  Holy crap, I am incredibly tired.  Oh well, critical analysis here I come.  Have a grand rest of the week, and an awesomely FREE FRIDAY!!!!

BLAH!!! UPDATE'd!!

Okay, now that I have gotten that outta my system, I'll sort of update.  I'm currently writing a research paper that consists of about 7 hours total research out of 6 possible weeks.  That tells you right there that the 5-8 pages this thing is supposed to be will be stretched from the current 2.5 pages to 4 pages.  Yea, I don't really care at this point, as long as I get it done.

Research Paper aside, school isn't that bad.  Oh wait, research paper and APUSH all encompassing aside, school isn't that bad.  It's actually pretty fun, thanks to all the awesome people that keep me going.  You guys are great.  Thanks for keeping me sane and able to enjoy school/life!!

Bob Jones=PLAYOFFS!!! We beat Huffman, now we have to beat Hoover... at Hoover... on a Friday we have off, after a rehearsal on an off day, the day before Alabama Vs. LSU (which I just found out I might not be going to ;( ) This is gonna be a hard game, but knowing the band's luck, we'll end up winning and having to keep continuing through for marching season.  Oh well, worse things could happen then marching season, one of the most fun times of the year IMO, continuing (though it would anyway due to the Peach Bowl) for a longer time.

Life=Grand.  Battle of the Bands- Thursday in BJHS Cafeteria sometime around 5 or 6 or something.  No Dice plays at 9:30, followed by Lampwick, but preceeded by Kenny's band around 7 or 7:30 (I believe this to be true).  It will be a lot of fun, plus you can chill around for some good music and just stay at Bob Jones for the 9 o'clock rehearsal we have the next day.  It'll be a blast, so you should all go!!!

Yarrr... I'm a pirate.  If something doesn't make sense, it's because I'll be up for another mindnumbing hour of research paper writing/editing/"suck-removing," which has been what I was doing for a while.  Poop... I'm tired.  Time to end this thing, and get on to ending my research paper, which leads to me going to bed, which then leads to me being happy and asleep.  Arrgghhh... that is the one that I don't do-sleep.  I'm gonna get sick because of my immune system weakening due to lack of sleep, and sadly enough, I wouldn't have it any other way.  Alright kids, have a great night, and week, and prolly month until my next update ;p.  Night all, and I'll see you at school!

Holy crap, it really has been like 3 weeks since my last update.  Oh well, here's a breakdown:

  • 2 Competitions, both of which we got superiors in all Categories
  • Bama's 5-0, but lost prothro for the season
  • Bob Jones is 4-2, and in the playoffs
  • I have a B in APUSH (HECK YES!!!)
  • Research Papers stink
  • Quiznos=amazing
  • Ants= t3h suck
  • Fall Break is pretty sweet, in that we don't have school.
  • I wish I could split into two "Matt"s so that I could be in Madison right now, as well as in Tuscaloosa.
  • Airsoft is cool, as are Asian people and the moon
  • That's about it.  Everything else is either going to take too long to type (i have to go soon) or would have a better effect if told in person.

Hope you guys are having an amazing fall break in Madtown.  See you guys in a day or two!!!
